The Air Traffic Control of the Czech Republic (ANSC Czech Republic, s.p.) has awarded a major contract worth €10.55 million to ELDIS Pardubice, s.r.o. for the renewal of radar systems at two key sites - Písek Hill (PISEK) and Buchtův Kopec (BUKOP). The award, published in the Official Gazette S 173/2025, marks a significant step in modernizing the country’s airport surveillance and air traffic management systems.
Under the contract, ELDIS Pardubice will supply and install primary (PSR) and secondary (MSSR) radar systems, complete with RADOME enclosures, and provide technical support and post-warranty services for both hardware and software components. The project is scheduled to commence on April 30, 2025, with a long-term operational duration of 19 years.
Tender Process and Evaluation
The open procurement procedure attracted three tenders, including two from other European Economic Area (EEA) countries. The evaluation criteria gave equal importance to price and technical quality, each weighted at 50%. ELDIS Pardubice secured the top ranking for offering the best balance of technological performance and cost efficiency.
The procurement was conducted under Directive 2014/24/EU and Act No. 134/2016 Coll., ensuring compliance with both Czech and EU public procurement frameworks. Notably, the contract is not financed by EU funds but falls under the Government Procurement Agreement (GPA).
