Introduction
In a significant boost to the Czech Republic’s transport infrastructure, the Directorate of Roads and Highways has announced the contract award for the D1 0136 Říkovice-Přerov highway project. The major road construction tender was awarded on 16 February 2026 to a STRABAG-led consortium, marking one of the most important government contracts in the country’s ongoing motorway modernization program.
Contract Details and Scope
According to the official contract award notice, the project carries an estimated value of CZK 6.92 billion and involves the construction of a 10.10 km four-lane divided highway built to category D26.5/120 standards. The new motorway section will connect the municipalities of Říkovice, Horní Moštěnice, and Přerov, forming a key link between previously completed and upcoming D1 motorway sections.

The project continues the D1 0135 section and will connect to the future D1 0137 Přerov-Lipník nad Bečvou segment, strengthening one of Central Europe’s most strategic motorway corridors.
