Description:
The subject of the fulfillment of public contracts awarded in the DNS will be the development of studies aimed at improving the implementation of 5G networks. Specifically, the study will focus on the following questions: - applicability of 5G elements and standards in individual sectors and proposals for technical implementation and regulatory measures, - concept and use of digof the Italian twin of the 5G network infrastructure, - use of satellite communication for 5G - coexistence and cooperation of terrestrial and satellite 5G networks, - applicability of FeMBMS (Further evolved Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service) technology in 5G networks for television broadcasting and audiovisual media servicesincluding a strategy for the future use of the 600 MHz frequency band for television broadcasting, - use of FRMCS systems (Future Railway Mobile Communication Systems) in railway transport, including dedicated channels in the 900 MHz and 1900 MHz bands, - use of quantum technology for higher security of 5G networks and services, -options to share the spectrum usable for 5G networks, -use of the 26 GHz frequency band for
