Description:
The subject of the public contract is the delivery, installation and introduction into the entire operation of the energy dispersion X-ray detector (EDX, Energy-Dispersive X-Ray Detector), allowing to determine the elemental composition of the sample. The detector is designed for the Ultra STEM microscope (Nion, Hermes ™ 100s) used to analyze various typessamples with very small thickness (ultra -thin slices of biological samples drenched in resin, nanoparticles, etc.).Ultra -cut cuts and other small objects in the scanning transmission electron microscope with atomic resolution (Ultra STEM), which is already part of the laboratory of electron microscopy at the client's workplace. This detector will expand the possibility of using a device for elemental analysis of studied samplesin a very high resolution. The microscope equipped with a detector will be significantly used in fulfilling the research activities of the central laboratory users, eg for studying nucleic acids and cellular samples. An important requirement for detector features is its full compatibility with the system (hardware,Software) of the existing electron microscope in the laboratories of the client on which the detector will be installed.
