• Description:
• RACIO is a Czech brand active in the field of healthy nutrition, and it is one of the largest producers of puffed products in Europe. The basic production technology used for the processing of most cereal products is puffing. The input production raw material is wheat and rice, which is dosed into the expansion mold of the baking machine, the so-called expander, where due to the high temperature (300 °C) and pressure, moisture evaporates in a short time (10 s), the grains swell (expansion) and the bodies of the sandwiches are shaped. Another essential production process, which follows is the tempering of the chocolate, which is ensured by the heating of hot water from gas boilers and el. boiler using internal hot water piping. Technological processes related to the production of products are very energy intensive. Energy consumption for technological and other related processes show a current energy consumption of 842,983 MWh/year. The existing equipment is quite outdated, however, it is still usable from the point of view of general service life, however, its performance does not correspond to the current conditions for ecological production, or work with the lowest possible ecological footprint. The project solves the problem of high energy demand in the production process of puffing, which is uneconomical and unecological and at the same time less efficient. A related problem is the financial burden within the framework large expenses for energy consumption. The mentioned technological facility also shows a large amount of greenhouse gas emissions of 639.9760 t CO2 per year. The project deals only with energy consumers with zero direct CO2 emissions.
