Description:
The subject of the contract is mainly the supply of elements to the tape library and the relevant SW and securing HW and SW support for the manufacturer for 5 years. The detailed specification of the subject of performance of the public contract is stated in the draft contract, specifically in its Annex 1 "Technical Parameters" table.
Aim Public procurement is modernization of the existing IBM TS3500 tape library operated in the Biocev Center as a storage of scientific data within IBM Storage Scale and Storage Protect, namely the recovery of components that will end the possibility of prolonging the manufacturer, maintaining use Original data tapes and use of original tape mechanics.
The current tape library consists of 4 chassis, contains 7 tape mechanics TS1150 communicating with IBM Storage Scale and Storage Protect via FC San. Data is stored on IBM TAPE CARTRIGE 3592 tapes Type D.
