• Description:
• The subject of the public contract "South Slavic Mausoleum - III. ETAPA, 2. sub-stage" are services connected with the documentation, placement, treatment and return of human remains and wooden coffins. Remains are kept in wooden coffins in the crypt of the mausoleum building of soldiers coming from the lands of the then Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes (later Yugoslavia) who died in military hospitals during the First World War. In addition, the remains of several deceased prisoners are stored in the crypt. The exhumed remains were brought to the mausoleum from various places in Moravia and Silesia and reverently deposited in 1928. A total of 1,224 remains of soldiers are kept in the building. Before starting the actual treatment, the coffins with the remains will be documented according to a pre-set system for marking the remains and coffin, so that there is no mixing or confusion of the remains. It is also necessary to carefully record the location of individual coffins in order to place them back. In some cases, the empty spaces in the shelves cannot be safely identified as seats without closer examination originally empty or behind the places where coffins were originally stored. Remains placed in non-tamperable caskets will be placed in sturdy paper boxes - not bags where they could be damaged. Remains not in caskets will be carefully documented, sorted and stored in paper boxes in the presence of an anthropologist.
